I’m proud to be an Ambassador for MacMillan’s Darts Marathon Challenge. MacMillan Cancer Care is one of Britain’s largest charities which provides specialist healthcare, information and financial support to those affected by cancer. Whether we have been diagnosed with cancer ourselves, or we have family or friends that have been diagnosed with cancer, we all know the devastating impact it can have on our lives, including those that are left behind.
MacMillan have provided over 100 years of cancer support and have in recent years encouraged people to sign up to do 12 hour darts marathons as a way of raising money for the charity. My challenge this year raised £1668.94 and overall, £789,023 has been raised for MacMillan Cancer Care through their darts marathons in 2025.

Did you know….
£90 could help run our Online Community forum for over 3 hours. Typically, that would give nearly 198 people affected by cancer both emotional and practical support by providing a safe environment to share their experiences and emotions.
£100 spent on our Macmillan Support Line could lead to our Welfare Rights Advisers helping people affected by cancer to claim £3,055 in benefits they are entitled to.
£185 could provide emotional support to one person living with cancer for around eight weeks, through regular support sessions with one of our Macmillan Buddies.
£708 could pay for a Macmillan Support Worker for a week, helping patients, family members and carers manage the social and practical problems of living with cancer.
£948 could support our Cancer Information Nurse Specialists to run our Macmillan Support Line phone service for 1 hour. In this time, they could deal with 15 enquiries, advising on managing side effects, treatment options, living with cancer, and coping with grief.
